Sophie Mehta is an Associate at Conrad | Metlitzky | Kane. Her practice includes complex civil litigation, internal investigations, and white-collar criminal defense.

Before joining the firm, Sophie was an associate at Latham & Watkins LLP, where she represented companies in complex commercial litigation, particularly involving class action defense. Her experience includes matters involving Fortune 500 companies as well as individual clients in both state and federal court.

Sophie began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Jon S. Tigar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Sophie earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. As a student in Georgetown Law’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, Sophie argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. She received her A.B., cum laude, in History from Harvard College.

Outside the office, Sophie enjoys playing squash, hiking, and searching for the best coffee in San Francisco.
